:( scotty did u not get the no limit heat? great photos as usaul by the way.

who says electrictraps open up level, dont get to paraniod over these next two pics but it does show how races are lost in a blink of your eye. I looked at the traps after i looked at the pics on my camera, and i could not see any difference in the traps, but when you freeze the action its a different story, mics gem had lost this race before the lids opened.

Looks more to me like the Blue had a fast trap if you take into consideration the angle you were stood at and how far the white and black traps were open and the way in which the dogs came out the blue trap looks miles ahead of the rest.

second pic a split second later and you see the result of the slow trap for mics gem

he trys to slide under and falls on his head. the other traps were a bit uneven as well but the dogs got out a bit better, but still not level.

R. micks gem 20

not a very level break is it, red looks like its trap was slowest of them all

sorry sherry, i have a bad back at present and could only stand on my feet for a few min, before i went into a spasam, so had to cancel taking to many pics, still i did get to see my own dog run for a change.

Just think if it were the same for the pups and yearlings today ... blue a fast trap and red a slow ...

Was that the worst or was there a difference in the traps on a few races?

Pic's are fabulous as always.

this is a pic of the lightweight bitch run of . short spot seemed to stop dead and turn right in front of short spot, when she was flying up to catch dramma queen, this pic is about fourty yards from the line. after the bump a dead heat was given between short spot and dramma queen with both going through to the main final. not the best pic as i had not intended takeing any more pics, so just pointed and took the pic with no seetings set, but it does still show what happens in a split second.

  BRILLIANT PHOTOS AS ALWAYS PETER ESPECIALLY OF THE SAND PIT FINISH  AND TARRAGONS RACE

i only took these two pics of the traps, so i would guess it could have happend again, i would think this happens at most tracks, its just that we dont get to see in slow motion. however it shows that the springs and fittings need to be checked to ensure that traps do open as even as possible. I would think all you need to do is vidio the traps with no dogs in several times and look at the frames one by one to see if there is a varyation in the speed they open, if one is always slow it must need a stronger spring etc, i dont think we will ever get individual traps opening as one but we must try to get them as even as possible. I will not be doing this excercise again as i think it will send us all potty. just think of it like this you might always get a trap that opens like the blue in these pics, keep smileing and look on the bright side it cant always be your dog that gets a slow one, can it ?.

you always were lucky donna after i took the pic of taragon the sun went in and that was it for good phot's i was planning to do a lot of the sand pit as love the way

all the dust and sand flys about but, no luck, no light, and a bad back, but i'll be back.

I had the slow trap :p lol we could sit here all day going "what if" and "maybe when" but unless you had a timer system on the trap indicating how long it took one to open you'd never know how fast or slow a trap was. We could go on forever.

 donna why dont u post the pic u took of the no limits its cool.

GREAT JOB AS ALWAYS PETER

YOU GOT MY LITTLE BABY :)) THAT LAST PHOTO SENT ME COLD , i THOUGHT ONE OF THEM WAS GOING TO REALLY GET HURT.

HOPE YOUR BACKS BETTER SOON
