I wondered if anyone had any suggestions on how to stop dogs chewing. Since we lost Timmy, Harvey seems to have been fretting in the kennels even though he has Ruby keeping him company. He has already chewed his way out once and has now taken to chewing the wooden frame. Does anybody have any suggestions or ideas on how to stop him chewing or anything which can be painted on the wood to stop him chewing before he hurts himself.

get a box muzzle for him to wear, greyhounds wear them all the time, youll have no more problems

I have always given the dogs Bachs Rescue Remedy when they get upset like this. It takes a while but they usually settle eventually. I just put it into their drinking water.

I'll try the mustard Andrew. They have already got a radio on low - they are housed better than us lol

mine all chew the kennels when rio and gem were pups i wondered wot the hell was in their poo when i seen like little yellow lumps.... it was insulation from the kennels lol thankfully they seem to have stopped now but we used the mustard trick 4 a while and the perspex is a great idea too. does he have plenty toys to play with get his teeth sunk into them?

seems to me like this is an anxity problem so chew sprays propbably wont work as it wont treat the anxity. Our dogs have a special cd made for dogs, supposed to be timed to the rythem of their hearts which works well for us. Bought it off itunes.

Also been advised before about using a collor think it's called adaptil, uses pheromones or somthing but never tried it.
