Just for fun I was wondering... If you were a dog, what would be your most enjoyable type of walk and what would be your least??

If I was a dog I'd love long walks out in the countryside or woods, taking my time and having moments to sit down and just sniff the air and look around. Preferably in quiet spots where you don't meet many others. And if there were others around I'd find it ok maybe meeting one dog at a time, occasionally:)

My least enjoyable walk would be in a busy park or on a dog meet where I'd be expected to interact or have random dogs running over to me to say hi or walking through a busy town with all those people legs rushing around and the noise and many smells...

I think this is also a good exercise in highlighting the fact that we're all individuals, just like our dogs:cool: and one's idea of heaven is another's idea of hell!

Definitely in a forest with good footpaths, shady trees and clear streams to get a drink.

Anywhere, as long as my owner was there with me, aware of how I was feeling - too hot/cold, bored, stressed, wanting reassurance or to play or to sniff, to head in a different direction or go home - and making sure that we had a great walk together, wherever it was and however far we went.

Pottering about on an interesting beach with calm, unruffled and loving owners - with the thought that there was a lovely fire waiting for me at home - all interspersed with mad bouts of euphoric dashes. Sighthound through and through. Plus a tolerance of oysters. Sorry, my medication’s playing up.

In the peaceful countryside, warm but not hot weather, cloudy day so sun isn't in my eyes, no humans around, maybe some dogs to say hello to. Mum and Dad with me.

Worst walk would be anywhere with heavy traffic and/or heavy rain. Or when the weather is very hot.
