I posted this on one of the threads, but I think it might have got missed in all the excitement :)

Would you all like me to start a thread on IGs in the FAQ section? I haven't before, because a) no one has asked me to, and b) I felt that people looking for specific information would come to this forum rather than FAQ (which is more general). But an IG FAQ has been mentioned a couple of times now, and having a new topic in FAQ might be a start. Perhaps I could pin a link from here to there... You can all add to the thread once I've started it.

What do you all think? Would this be a positive move and something you would like to contribute to?

i think thats a fab idea helen! especially with the health related problems in igs i think this would be a great place to start some research, also some could add experiences of certain problems and how they have lived with those problems? , im sure it was doris who said she used biio washing powder with the wee mop ups from igs? sorry doris if i am wrong.

thank you helen im sure it will be a great idea and those that really know the breed will be able to educate the inexperienced people like myself to the pleasures and pitfalls of all aspects of ig owning

Sounds like a great idea Helen

I read that as, ' Fag in Fag' at first. My mind was doing all sorts of contortions trying to imagine what that meant.

I think it's good of you to offer Helen  I'm sure the IG folk would appreciate it.

I know!!! I've just logged on and seen that... think I'll change it to capitals :- "

 Great idea.

As long as it mentions somewhere that we are giving personal opinions based on experience and knowledge.

i also think its a great idea

i really like IG and have done so for a while, it would be nice to be able to read some facts about them, although i have picked alot up on reading the posts!

instead of relying on personal experience/opnions why not get a "expert" in this breed to write it

because anyones opinions are just that, opinions.whether theyre an expert or just a wannabe. :- " noone in any breed can live long enough and have so many dogs that they experience everything.so they can only give a personal opinion based on their experiences.but someones elses experiences with the same problem might be totally different.but it would be helpful to read of experiences even if they are conflicting opinions and then the reader can make up their own minds . :)

Exactly, spot on

I'd love that. :) Don't know if I have any knowledge or experience to contribute, though.

Yes, sure. It does say that in the general intro to FAQ, but I can repeat it on the IG thread too

Should have something sorted in the next couple of days. I wanted to start it for you over the weekend but things were a bit hectic and I had no computer time  ;)

I've started the IG FAQ. Please come and reply, because without your knowledge and opinions it's just an empty thread

Iggy FAQ

If there's anything about the wording that you think should be adjusted please PM me
