We were at sister in law's house for lunch. Picture the scene. She has a laminate floor, and Timber lies on a blanket on the floor.

It was raining outside. He went out for a wee, came back in and, as he does when he is tired, he started digging and moving his blanket around. On the laminate floor, obviously it travelled around a bit.

I said 'look, we've been working on this, he's wiping up his own wet paw prints'. She believed me ...

Am I very bad?

No, not at all. I helped out at our county’s libraries when I retired and one very hot afternoon, while working behind the counter, was asked by a customer how we managed to keep so cool. I said that in such conditions we were excused clothing below the waist. Her look was amazing as was her letter of complaint to the Council which couldn’t believe such gullibility.
