I've joined from another forum as well, I think I know several of you already, still trying to figure out different user names.

My dog is a little terrier thing, though I've had large dogs most of my life. Said I'd never have a small dog and here we are!
I'm not in the UK, but looking forward to being a part of this community if you'll have an ungrateful colonial

Hello and welcome. Thanks @JoanneF for the clarification - the other place sounds like a hellscape (and why would they do this? I know we've discussed it elsewhere).

@arealhuman it's horrible - it's extremely unpopular over multiple forums but they seem to have invested too much in it to step back.

Their response to questions about things like what data it is collecting, and how that will be used, are just met with ”contact our legal team” replies. And anyone who does gets a standard reply that says nothing.

I just hope that they don't scoop up this forum too.

They were very cloak and dagger with it, too. No consultation, no asking members if that's what we wanted - not even discussing it with the mods, just a post in the moderator lounge that it was coming, and there was no opt-out. That didn't sit right with me, so I gave them a day to consult the members themselves, and when they didn't, I did.

I had a quick peep on there yesterday, because I'm incurably nosy & saw a reply 'Frank' gave to someone looking for a new cockerel.

Frankly (pardon the pun) I've seen better replies when one of the cats rolls around on my laptop keyboard.

My last ferret, Goose, walked across my lap top once when I was working and actually managed to pull up my daughter's email ready to compose!! Still not sure how he managed that...

Oh I love ferrets, they are so much fun!

One day, when the allotment is less time consuming & I no longer have my bunnies, I might get a couple of rescue ferrets, I always said I'd turn one of the kids' rooms into a room just for ferrets when they leave home!
