...........a few thank-yous to a few people after last weekends events at Shanes Castles "All Ireland Lurcher & Terrier Show".
This was the 21st year of this event and as usual was filled with thrills spills and "dills"
Ill get the dills outve the way first then will i ? How do the same bunch of little twats always manage to let bull crosses off leads ? Do they think theyre being clever..your not..YOU`RE DILDOS LADS !
Now where was i....? Thanks to Fra for slipping China for me...its not easy being a one man team. At long tracks like Shanes you just cant afford to have your dog do another run back down the track... so a "slipper" is recruited for each of my dogs. Frankie done a great job as she`s hard work on the line but he pulled the trigger back brilliantly for me.
Grant Coates was a wee star as usual. He marched Colt down to the line like a stable lad with a racehorse, composed as ever he released the beast and stood back !
The Final didnt faze him at all and done the same again to watch his dog lead the most of the way only to miss his feeting at the dip, but pulled it back for a nose to tail finish over the line.
Heres the lad himself plus a weird ol bloke whos in hiding at the minuteh34r:
the winners enclosure...whippets at each end of the line and lurchers inside
Well Done the Harpurs with Reni and Danny also Sammy and Linda Bowers winning the Whippet Champion Title and all the rest of the winners at various Show classes.
A great weekend with sporting friends !
