Hello again,

Here are a few more details of the sort of stud dog we are looking for.

A good family pet

Good with people and animals

Gentle and friendly

KC registered

Colour not important

Our own whippet is a much loved family dog, who joins my husband when he goes to work at the local agricultural college. We think that pedigree pups will be easier to sell, hence the need to find a KC registered stud.

Does anyone know of a loving husband for our Misty?

So what about her breeding?

I dont think you are going to get much Joy from any respected stud dog owner

without good reason for wanting to mate your bitch.

If you rang me and asked if you could use our stud dog because KC reg puppies sell better Im afraid I would say no and thats before I asked you what breeding your bitch is.

Just because a dog (or the would-be-pups-in question) is kc reg it doesnt atchully (sp) give any 'mark of quality'or a hallmark on how well the pups are bred .Any dog whose parents are reg can be reg too. It would be better to get in touch with your whippets breeder who should be able to help with finding a dog that ties in with your bitches pedigree, and a dog that will compliment her. :thumbsup:

edited to say i agree with marks post too. You will proberly find it difficult finding a respected stud dog owner to cover your bitch for the reasons you have given in wanting to breed
