As long as ive had my whippy she's always followed me upstairs and slept on a chair at the side of my bed, but last night she wouldnt budge out of the living room, so i made her comfy on the couch, gets up this morning and i was shocked to see the ammount of blood she had lost, at first i thought she'd done herself a mischief, good job i'd put a blanket on the couch, but she does seem to be losing a lot

Girls often go a tad strange with any season .....Often if the first season is light, their next season is heavy ....You need some oil of evening primrose caps to add to her food and some brewers yeast tabs (for the B vits) Hannah.

I know what you mean Keith with 3 girls in the house, they are all different though Spry doesnt seem to bleed much but with Callie and Sienna they seem to lose a lot and for quite a while too

Thans Emily, spose i should have posted roughly how long a season lasts, reason im asking is cos im introducing her to racing on the 3rd March, am i gonna lose out, im supposed to be getting her fit n ready but with her being in season, im tied to just lead walking her, cos all the mutts in the area are after her, labs, staffies, and her mate yorkie, rat on stilts

Hi Keith,

I would doubt she would be able to race on 3rd of March depending when she started of course, if she has just started now, She would be smelling very nice by then and would cause chaos!! :teehee:

She came into season last friday.

Didnt i read somewhere that they shouldnt be raced for 6 weeks after a season as the change in hormones also affects muscles etc. Could be wrong praps you racers could put me right? Jan :- "

Depending on the line a bitch shouldn't race/work from end of season up to 12 weeks out of season due to ligaments and muscles softening ....Hormones are a nightmare .....but it does depend on the bitch and line :D
