I have a whippet puppy reserved for the spring (I paid the deposit about 4 months ago) and I am soooooooooooooooooo looking forward to it.

BUT the rescue centre where Nana came from has the most beautiful little lurcher bitch (greyXbeardieXwhippet) 11 months old and needing a home asap and we think she'd fit in very well with our family.

Anyway I am going to meet her at the Midland this weekend to see what she makes of our girls and what they make of her.

WHAT WOULD YOU DO?

a. Get both

b. Get the lurcher

c. Get the puppy

Thats so easy !, Why do you need to ask ?

the answer is GET BOTH :D By the time you get the puppy in the spring ( which is MONTHS away ) the lurcher will be well settled in and youll wonder how it ever was without her ;)

Go for it

Yep both definatley :D , if both is an option as Jax said there's no other answer

:) Oh yes if you have the room GET BOTH  .

Spring is a long time away

Aww the lurcher is lovely OEH   you could always go and meet her (now you know you wont come home without her) and see how you all get along like youve already said. I suppose there is a slight chance you may not like her after all ;) :- "

Then you will have long enough to decide still about that puppy too.

Lucky thing

The problem is I'm a little concerned about having both as at some point we want to breed our own litter (and obviously keep one) which would take us up to 5 and OH has always wanted a Jack Russell which would take us up to 6 .............

and the whole thing seems to be getting a little out of control (I think I'm a running dog addict)

Your lurcher looks fantastic  :- "

I would certainly go to meet her and see how they get on. In between now and the spring there is plenty of time for her to settle in and you can then start to get ready to prepare for the puppy.

If you are going to go out and walk 3 dogs why not walk 4? It really makes no difference. Also I think it's nice to keep numbers even as 2 can play nice but with 3 someone ends up being 'mock killed' by 2 others (w00t) or someone gets left out :(

Go for them both :D It's fantastic to have a happy pack of whippies/lurchies

The only snags that I can see are:

1) taking them on holiday - not many places allow 4 dogs but you would probably get away with 3 more easily

2) need a bigger car!

3) even less room in bed

4) food bill (w00t)

Go on - you know you want to

She's gorgeous!  It won't hurt to meet her now will it? :- " :- "

Yup! I agree with all of the above. Do it  We'll look forward to pictures of your increased gang

Just looked at the piccies....................

Now there is no doubt what so ever - just get the pair of them. Double the fun????

I would get the lurcher now, you never know what will happen by the spring .

Its meant to be :) :D
