here she is feeling sorry for  herself this is the splint until friday when she gets a plaster on we have asked for a pink one (of course)
Dont blame yourselfs its happened to alot of racers infact I think these things happen more at home than on the track. The vet wants sacking :- " giving Indy a blue and white bandage , that wont match her jim jams. pillow or her blankets ;)

Just wait till Indy has her plaster and she finds out she can put more weight on it. She will soon forget whats happened , while you are chasing her round with her plaster going KLONG KLONG :sweating: One of our dogs needed a new plaster every week

Will ring friday

Get well soon Indy and watch out for a little PINK package in the post :huggles:

wendy was that upset with the blue bandage that she has made her some new jimjams pink and a bit of blue of coarse the blue to match the bandage

Tony

:D take some red food coloring with you on friday and tell the vet to put some in the bowl of water that he soakes the plaster bandage in , she sould get a nice shade of pink

well she is at the vets now just waiting until 4 pm to see if she can come home had to get her to fast so she will be starving (i put a request for a pink plaster on her leg orders from wendy)

Tony

it has worked fine we have found out that if you her jammies on she does not chew

well took her back to the vets to have her plaster changed she has to have it changed every 2 weeks as she is still growing will be picking her up about 4 this afternoon

latest update on indy she has not got a plaster on but came out with a splint vet says she has healed really well and does not need another plaster  she is doing fine and getting back to causing havoc arround the house

Tony

Well am glad she's feeling better and back to her old self Good Luck no more accidents indy  :luck:

awh poor indy :( , im not sure if im right but was indy at the wessy open being pushed around in a pram?? cause i remember going over to pet her cause she looked so cute (thats if it was her)lol :D wearing pink??

also my 'Tori' broke her back leg when she was 3 & half months old, ( she fractured her knee cap) well any way she was a very very hyper dog at that age and she had to be kept in a very confined area with a cast on so we tryed making her a small pen out of fire guards but off course tori being the nutter she was had to show everyone she cud jump over the guard with her cast on! (w00t) i nearly had a heart attack when i seen her climb over it as she was just after an operation getting pin's placed in her knee cap to hold it in place & was told by vet she was by no means allowed to jump up never mind jump over a fire guard!  thankfully she did no damage doing so! :sweating:

well after several months of being kept in a confined area and not being allowed off her lead! she made a full recovery! :D and is doing very well in her racing career, winning loads of lurcher races here and across the water!

goodluck with indy :luck: i think she will be fine with a bit of time  :luck:

Rose :)

Yes that was Indy in her buggy at wessy shes having her splint taken iff in thursday if everything looks ok. Allthough I thinbk we will have fun trying to keep her out of her buggy shes got used to getting in it when shes tired now. The vet sazid she should mend fine and be ok after as it was a clean brake its just been hard work keeping her quiet. Taking her out in the buggy has been good as it tires her out and she sleeps and thats the only time shes still and safe  hope to see you again at the whippet racing or might run into you at pride of the peaks and other lurcher shows we take our talula (collie x greyhound) too.

wendy

Indy had her splint off yesrday shes still holding the leg up but is slowly starting bending it and resting it on the floor think its just a matter of time phisyo and massarge so any tipe would be appriceated allso any lotion ideas would be great
