Hi everyone, as some of you know I have adopted the lovely Scruples dog, Dash, so here are a few photos of him getting settled in with us

having a cuddle, awwww! (please excuse the riding hat hair!)

He is THE most affectionate dog and a pleasure to have around. So far he has been a very good boy but I'm not counting my chickens yet (er, well he did try to eat one  ) because it is entirely possible that he has more brains than me which is never a good thing!! On the plus side his recall, which I was told was nonexistant, appears to be alive and well (although not yet tested in extremis) and is a tribute to the hard work of his lovely foster family :D

I am sure he will repay your kindness a thousandfold with sloppy kisses, he is gorgeous

What a lucky boy with that amazing walled garden to run around in! Good luck with Dash- he looks like he's already feeling right at home

Looks like Dash is at home already

Good luck with the beautiful Dash .

Welcome to you and Dash

What a lucky boy. It looks like he has landed in whippet heaven :D , Large garden to play in, lots of outdoors areas to explore and a new canine and human family to belong to. Wonderful that Scruples, their fosterers and you have made this possible

I hope that he continues to make himself at home, he looks so happy.

I'm glad Dash has settled in. I have just been home-checked so that I can adopt Hector from Scruples. In fact it was Annie who suggested this forum to me and put me onto lavender oil for grass rash. I hope Hector settles as well with me and my whippet, Ash. Fingers crossed!

Aww, what a handsome lad Dash is. Good luck with him and I hope he carries on settling in well. :luck: I love the headless, bum in the air pics in your lovely walled garden! (w00t)

Welcome to K9, Brownmare and DrB - I should call you the A Team (just because both your real names begin with A  )

The pictures of Dash are wonderful and I am so happy that he is with you now :D

.... and I'm sure Hector will enjoy his fantastic new home too when he arrives with Dr B

Thanks everyone, I feel very lucky to have him. We have just spent the weekend with my parents (retrieving my son who was packed off to give Dash some peaceful settling in time!!) and he was shaking when I was packing the car up, poor love, then disgraced himself by lying down on the kitchen table - to enjoy the view obviously  When we got back he dived straight into his bed and has been on his best behaviour ever since and....................

drumroll please..........

He caught a pheasant today, then LEFT IT to come back to me o:) and yes, I did go back for it and after giving a few choice bits to Dash I fully intend to serve it up for dinner in celebration :D

How wonderful is that??? Well done, little Dashy

Bet you never thought that he'd be able to keep the family in fresh game too

That's brilliant ... clever little man to come back to you and away from his catch :D I'm so pleased Dash is settling in with you so well ... it's the happy endings that make all the hard Scrupling worthwhile.

And hello again Dr B ... I'm looking forward to equally happy stories of Hector in his new home in the weeks ahead :D

And lots of pics please, both of you !
