A wonderful days racing today, the help of Old Halls loyal workers makes this track a must for racing. I had explained to the workers that we intended starting the scratch and pups off ASAP after the weigh in because we give all dogs two runs if they want them and the racing being AB meant only four dog races in the first round. This also meant that daylight time had to be took into consideration and an early start seemed fitting, as it was the last race was run at 3pm in brilliant sunshine, unlike the first part of the Day. There were some very good racing and also some outstanding performances of dogs and pups. Viv’s Quest pups seem to be coming through with all the three-weight group finalist being out of Sam.

Lexi the bwra puppy champion picked up where she had left off and came 3rd in the A final L/W race against a flying Swift One and Short spot enjoying a 1 lb lift due to age, looks very promising for the 14 month old bitch. Conners Dream Jessica in the pups stole my heart yet again and I don’t like bitches but she raced so well considering her weight on todays heavy going. The third in the puppy final will be making a name for himself soon, Hands Off, never opened race before today only club run to clear for racing and he made up ground hands over fist to keep in touch with the other racers. £60 added money was paid out extra today and thanks to Alan Jones George Meekin, George Sparks, and Gilbert Pocket who put in sponsor money for this event, Many thanks indeed.

That’s it from the I.R.G. for this year and once again we are indeed glad of your support and we intend on having a full card of race meetings next year, so until then have a good Christmas and a safe and prosperous new year.

P.S. NEW YEARS DAY OPEN BLIDWORTH 11-00am Kick off

I should have known, my fart ... I mean whippet was miles behind in that particular x heat.

Lightweight B Final

Was Lacey not racig that day? I am trying to follo her progress and wondered how she did, or why she was not there? any help?

If you mean lacey Venture then Bruce and Di did not run at this straight racing event, being has lacey is a far better bend dog it would be pointless to keep swapping racing codes in the middle of a winter season of bend racing. No doubt Bruce and Di will be keeping her fit and well for the new year bend meetings and championship and Good luck to them. :luck:
