Any info please on the Irish circuit. We had our hols there a few years ago and I now that there were champ shows going on. Also that people go and do about 5 shows in 10 days? I would like to know the ins and outs, it sounds like an excellent excuse to visit again with the caravan. Any facts welcome and has anybody been from here who can enlighten me. Thanks K

Hound Assoc of Ireland Sat 18th Aug - Age Gjetnes, Norway

Sunday 19th Aug - Clonmel - J Lewington, USA

Tuesday 21st Aug - Killarney - Mrs Nina Karlsdotter, Sweden

Thursday 23rd August - Limerick - Mrs M Purkhiser, USA

Saturday 25th August - Tralee - D Miller, USA

You can still enter I think at:-

All the whippet judges are from abroad - so its wide open.

I'm meeting up with a gang of Afghan friends and some of

the Irish whipeteers. We have a great social time - and the shows are good too!

I asked the same question before i think - if you do some searching you may be able to find the topic! :thumbsup:

We may go next year depending on which shows i want to enter over here at the time and any other factors!

Facts about the Cicuit ........... MMmmmm.

Well the social life is good. The shows are a close 2nd.

The Guiness is Good & the Baileys Is better. :cheers:

Weather is questionable

We have had a few "Visitors" for the Circuit over the last couple of years, and know of a few for this year too. It is enjoyable but very tiring ( spelling ??) Like Graham says, you will need to register your dogs with the IKC and become a member yourself to show your dogs in Ireland. Most people base themselves in Killarney for the majority of the week (from the sunday evening after Clonmel) and travel to the various shows from there.

Entries close online TOMORROW for Clonmel, Killarney and Limerick. Tralee is already closed, but Hound Association of Ireland closes online 21st July. All online entries can be found at www.dogshowentry.ie

Many thanks for your replies :cheers: it is too late for this year, so I am thinking ahead for next year. Are the show dates at about the same time like our champ shows? does anybody know if next years dates are set yet? thanks K :luck:

The Munster Circuit is always around the 3rd week in August.

What a pity you're not coming over to it this year .......it's not too late to enter 4 of the 5 shows....if you are quick and do it tonight!!!!..... If not then we'll hopefully see you there next year :thumbsup:

Eileen and I are planning to go next year for the first time as well.
