Your boy is BEAUTIFUL.... very handsome indeed. :huggles:

(do tigers eat chickens??.... i guess they do!!)

Becka your lad looks pretty scarey in that photo and could pass as a croc!

I was once walking into town with William and past a woman with several kids the comment was something like this

Ooohhhhhhhh look the lady has a little horse :- "

I smiled at her and said he's a dog

The woman just stopped and took the kids into the nearest shop she could find.

If I have William and the whippets with me it is usually

Oh that one is the other ones mummy

noooooo its a he

oh well he's its dad then

noooooo they're different breeds

If you say William is a greyhound its then'Oh has he been mistreated then? he must be a rescue'

I thought I had heard it all but whilst out on a walk yesterday we heard a little boy saying to his Mam - "that dog looks like a white mouse"  Whatever next?

What ever he is, he is just gorgeous :)

Yesterday in Keswick we were walking our 2 when there was a loud voice from a very small child

Mummy look at them skinny dogs why dont they eat!!!!!!!

Walked quickly by if they had seen the large bowl of food they each consumed the night before theyd be asking about the hollow legs!!!!

(w00t) (w00t) Hahaha!! We get random comments all the time too.

They used to always say he looks like a deer too :p will have to get some xmas raindeer horns! And the baby greyhound one is common as well :)

Nowadays it's just ignorant people going " that dogs only got 3 legs!!" or "tripod".

my brothers mate always reckoned my whippets looked like velociraptors..... dunno where he got that from

Aha! Finally someone thinks the same as me!!! I always think Molly looks like a velociraptor (in the nicest possible way) when she jumps up on the settee to attack poor Lenny

My two favourite ones happened to 2 friends of mine on another list. One was walking hers through a park when an elderly gentleman stopped, did a bit of a double take, and then walked away muttering 'huh, Audrey Hepburn'.

The other is the absolute truth. My friend had a repairman around and he looked at her whippet Willie and said 'Is that one of them thar Aardvarks?'

What will they think of next.

I do think they resemble meerkats and baby kangaroos at times. There's other times where I'm convinced they're decended from velociraptors ROFLMBO.

Wendy

edited to say 'now that I've mentioned velociraptors I see someone else beat me to it  '

My first whippet Tucky learned how to open a door by the handle, just like the velociraptors in Jurassic Park  ...

although his prey was the supply of bonios and not humans! 8)
