Its a dream of course it is. If i could forecast that i could breed champions i would breed racehorses. for profit

However i still have the desire to produce the Ultimate Racing Whippet. The gene Pool is getting smaller as each year go,s by. Just Look at the stud register today

and then pick up the Whippet News from 1970 and you will see what i mean.

Therefore its time to bring in new Blood. Its Years since i have bred a litter tried a couple of times with out much success the bitch missed due age may be.

I still get a buzz from seeing my idea's come together, having bred some of the best dames lines producing today i can see i did my homework with satisfactory results to turn out such bitch's as Solo. Chicane. kieran lass. Pistachio SexyMover all who have gone onto produce again with help of class stud dogs of course.

Not forgetting those that ran, which also offered enjoyment for both myself and their owners : Sup Scr Nch Mad Hatter, Simply the best, Nch Tarten Ace, Scruffy,

Nch Cool Whisper, Nch Bubbles Galina, Pavorotti, Nch Mad Return, Miss Leo and many more.

If you take a Super sire from Austrailia and the best Irish greyhound blood you can afford then that would be a Fairy Tale in its self for the whippet breeders any way. Then to mate this bitch to the most dominant dame line we have in whippet racing today This would be the start of my dream. I have mated my 52lb greyhound bitch Fairy Tail to Sup Rch/Nch Shooting Star pups Due 08.09.05

Want to know more. Fairy Tale is a blue unraced bitch injured as a pup, Sired by the Austrailian Super sire Go wild teddy he is not available at stud here or Ireland only by frozen seman and AI. Her dame is Droopys Carmen litter sister to Irish Dame Of the Year Droopys Kristin, Who Produced The 2004 Derby Winner Droopys Scholes. :- "

Well i can dream can't i ? ;)

There are so many areas that can affect what age a bitch would finish reproducing.

Work load, How many litters she has already had, if she was surpressed over a long period of time. including general condition and previous illness, each bitch is an individual. A general sign would be smaller litter sizes. I would also look at how long the bitch takes to recover after whelping.

I do not feel you can set a time scale on how old, but more to what each litter takes out of the bitch and general condition. Some bitches are natural's others

don't take to this task at all.

If the bitch is well after at each stage ie good general condition, wormed before mating. Not over fed during the early stages . Including well looked after whilst lactating the puppies. and she recovers from her task quickly theres not a lot wrong However each stage is vital to producing the best pups.
