Here's our one and only daffodil (narcissus really). Does that mean spring is here at last?

I'm very lazy with bulb planting, so bought this as an already sprouted bulb from the garden centre a few weeks back. :- "

Just realised our door needs a lick of paint.....funny what you don't really notice until you take a photo.....

Here's Fred having inspected the daffodil and decided it wasn't worthy of being watered...so decided to pose next to it instead for the photoshoot. :)

(Excuse his long nails...time to get the dremel out...I've never succeeded in getting his nails nice and short again since I had trouble cutting them years ago).

'Can I go back in now?'

The sun decided to disappear and so did Fred.

Fred is lovely  Your yellow door is brilliant - really bright and cheerful!

Lovely sunny photos Nicola ... I didn't think your paint looked bad - in fact I thought, I must get on and paint our front door, wouldn't like anyone to see it in its present state!!

It's not toooo bad, but gets the full sun, so has to be painted every year to look its best. And it didn't get painted last year ... I have the paint tho! it'll get done at Easter ...

:D

Know what you mean Nicola about photos showing things up

Great pictures of Fred  hes looking great. Hopefully they can go out for an hour longer tonight.

Our door gets the full sun ( although judging by the moss on the doorstep you wouldn't think so) until late afternoon so needs painting quite regularly. It was canary yellow when we first moved in, and changed to Tibetan Gold. Wonder what shade of yellow we'll go for this year? :teehee:

Funnily enough it was the colour of the door that first endeared us to the house when we saw it (mad or what!). It does help to cheer up the dark gritstone of the house, which can look a bit gloomy in the winter months.

Wey hey....and I helped my first toad across the road yesterday on unofficial toad patrol (last walk of the night with Fred and Stan)....it must be...surely it's spring at last!! :teehee: :sweating:

who remembers school tapioca pudding ? (w00t) (w00t)

went to pick up what we thought was a piece of litter on the pavement last week, in the dark, it was the biggest toad I've ever seen and went hopping with a 'splat' sound on each hop, across the road (w00t)

BTW hello Fred  lovely photo of you by a brilliant coloured door

Hi Nicola, if Fred will let you Dremel his nails as close to the quick as you can get (without hurting him) regularly ie every few days, the quick will soon begin to recede, and you'll soon have his nails to a comfortable length. Then you can just keep on top of them with a quick tidy up once a week or so. Good luck! :)

ps your little dilly looks so cute all on its own :p
