i was walking back from my mates tonight around midnight, when Dij spotted a dog accross the road - lovely looking golden lurcher.
Dij was as stiff as a stiff thing, so i dropped him off at home, collected a lead and set off again (no mean feat for me, i'm quite scared of the dark and although i live in a nice bit of birmingham it's still not a good idea to be wandering around on your lonesome at night)
So, i cossed over to lurcher-boy, squatted down and managed to get him to come to me. I'd just slipped the lead onto his collar and was looking for a name tag -when i heard my name
i turned to see 2 blokes on bikes, one of which i knew. Lurcher-boy belonged to the other one, he'd slipped off and bolted earlier and they'd been riding round for hours looking for him!
Does this qualify for the fasted ever rescue - reunited with owner thing???
And can i have a big shiney gold star for being all brave and going out to catch him???
