Friend of mine just bought a first Iggy (after years showing Whippets) and she would like to get a book about them. Any suggestions?

Saw one on ebay yesterday, just one of those 'generic' ones, you know they have them in most breeds, some stuff is the same for all the books some is specific to the breed. Who bred her Iggy?

Linda

The Italian Greyhound 21st Century by Lilian Barber is the best book on Iggies.

Another good one is The Italian Greyhound Nuts & Bolts Book by Patricia Kelly

I agree - these are the best books on the subject in my opinion. You could get them from amazon.com or try www.alibris.com because they are both american. 'Nuts and bolts' tells all the good and bad of living with the breed in 'straight talking' honesty.

I think there's a real gap in the market for an up-to-date British book on the UK Italian Greyhound scene. I know who I'd like to write it too so I must ask them..... something factual, unbiased and realistic about the current state of the breed

You're right we do need an up to date British book. I've already suggested that "they" write one soon ;)

Perhaps a bit more persuasion is needed!!!!!! :teehee:

I'll be really interested to hear your comments regarding the differences between whippies and Iggies.
