Thought i'd try and get things going here by discussing facts! lol

So here is your opportunity to tell the world your hidden talent or that bit of info that no one knew about you!

I'll start then...

I have no hidden talent so my useless fact is that I have a tiny obsession with the Disney company.

Being male, that is really hard to admit. lol I don't have any princess stuff (before you ask) but I have plenty of stuffed mickey mouse toys and ornaments around the house.

I have also been to Disney World many times and have been twice in one year!

Next...

Oh Tania - tell us more!!!

I would love something on my wrist but I am worried I will regret it when I am old and wrinkly!!

Most of my left thigh is covered with a large phoenix tattoo that has a story attached to it.

I got my phoenix as the first phase when I was given the first good news about my second tumour responding to the radiotherapy. As you may expect, the phoenix represents me rising up out of the ashes of my illness and becoming a new person.

After finally getting out of my abusive marriage (by getting him to move out of my house- was never going to do a flit and lose my place) I met Trev and we were just getting to know each other and falling in love when he asked me about my tattoo. I told him all about it and he decided that my phoenix needed some flames to lift her up, so he drew some in with a blue marker pen one Saturday when he was at my house.

On the Tuesday, not knowing he was already dead, I washed the flames off in the shower as I got ready for him coming round for tea. I called his house when he didn't arrive to ask if he was OK, since he was never late for anything, and the phone was answered by a police officer. He had been killed in a bike crash on his way to my house and I will regret until my dying day that I didn't get to tell him that I loved him and could only tell his body.

My phoenix now has a lotus blossom which is on fire underneath her. If I'm the phoenix rising up out of the ashes of previous hard things in my life then he's the flames supporting my wings into my future. Lotus blossoms are used in a whole selection of belief systems as signifying reincarnation and lost love.

People seem to believe that tattoos are got for vanity and to show off to other people, but I'm quite happy for nobody else to see my tattoo because I got it for me, not for other people. It's also in a place where very few other people will ever see it unless they share a gym changing room or a swimming pool with me.

Such a sad but inspiring story.

My dad passed away when I was young and for years I struggled with it all but I've always wanted a tattoo in his memory. My problem is that I want something timeless and unique so it's difficult to find something that fits both.

I'm not just having one for the sake of it I want to make sure I have the right one!

Btw the right tattoos in the right places on the right women can be very attractive! Lol

eingana - thank you for sharing. How terribly sad, I was in tears reading it xxxx

Tears in my eyes reading about your tattoo Eingana, I have a symbol on my back which when translated means Father, I had it done on the anniversary of my dads death, same as you I had it done for me no one else and its hidden as it is special to me and I dont want to share it with everyone else. xx

My secret fact is that I have spent all day today in my pjs!! I even took my dogs out for 3hrs and just pulled my waterproofs on, on top!!

Don't get tears in your eyes about me- I'm fine and I will continue to be fine :)

You can understand why I told the surgeon that wanted to operate on that hip that he can cut anywhere apart from through my tat though :)

Today's new fact is that I've spent half of the day teaching a friend how to crochet.

this week i have been suffering from a horrible flu lurgy, i've been sleeping a lot, at fairly random times, and it seems, getting all grumpy with some of the posts on this forum. FACT.

Don't know how you guys manage to keep so polite to some of questions asked and situations revealed... A couple of my buttons got pushed this week and i wasn't as polite as i could have been. Think i'm turning into a troll! I'm going to try and shut up in future, and not reply to posts that get me upset... How do you guys do it?

My new months resolution is take my dog for a walk, if i feel like i want to get all self righteous, it'll be healthier for me, and good for dude. Least i know its an outcome thats a definite win, and i wont scare anyone off...

I don't think anything you've said has been out of order. At least I haven't read anything bad.

We all get down sometimes so try not to stress too much.

I try not to get worked up about things but I do and we all do it. I tend to bottle it up and then I tend to let it all out when it gets too much!

I've enjoyed my short time here, and that's down to everyone here so you're not coming across badly at all! lol

hanneroon all you have done is answer the questions asked based on your opinion and experience, I for one think you should keep doing it people are asking for advice and sometimes dont like the answers, tough they asked for help!

Some posts make my blood boil and i deliberately turn off the computer as if I started ranting I would not stop and I'd end up getting banned!!!!

Hope you feel better soon :flowers:
