We had another great day out today at the Galloway Country Fair :thumbsup:

Here are some pics

There was Terrier racing can you see Jakey in this pic :thumbsup:

I think the crowd got the most entertainment from watching me

trying to catch him after the race :lol: He ran about 4 times and won 3 :thumbsup: Jilly also had a wee run :thumbsup:

We met a new friend :wub: This is Poppy who is about one year old

she was rescued by her owners age 4 months isn't she adorable :wub:

Then we thought that we would enter Jilly in her first ever show :unsure:

Here she is in the ring

Then after all the judging was over the judge came towards us

and gave her FIRST PLACE :cheers:

I couldn't have been any more excited if it had been Crufts she'd won :huggles:

So thats her and Jakey got a rosette each :thumbsup:

What a year we've had indeed :thumbsup: :thumbsup:

Wow Pam what a great day you had and what a lovely way for Jake to spend his birthday. We're not surprised that Jilly won a first prize because we think she is gorgeous. I'd have loved to have seen you chasing after Jake, sounds like he thoroughly enjoyed himself.

What fabulous pictures. I didn't notice the dogs' faces at first - that first one's brill!

(BTW there's a small herd of Galloways down here. I'd not seen any before and thought they looked just like saddle-back pigs, which my parents used to breed years ago)

How fabulous....Isn't it a buzz? I love the country shows, and entering the dog show is a laugh....we did quite well with Archie last year, never ceases to amaze me (or Strike whippets!!!!!!!! (w00t) ). I just think you can't have a better day out. well done to all! :thumbsup: :cheers:
