Thank you Susan, and thanks for checking up on me and telling me to phone NHS24 :thumbsup: , I ended up at the local hospital, and have got flu and a throat/ear infection - its been so painful i havent been able to eat, and embarresingly burst into tears with the man on the phone at nhs 24 :b , but the pennicillin seems to be kicking in, and Im much more up beat about getting better now :thumbsup:

Poor things :huggles: there's nothing worse than being poorly I can understand about what you said about being upset on the phone, a few years back I woke up in the middle night with really terrible pain just under my ribs and rang them not knowing what to do,I got very upset and panicky because at the time I didnt know what it was, and thats what made it so scary, the pain was so bad I thought I had something life threatening :b

It was gallstones as it happens and after I'd been to the docs I got it many time after until I had my gallbladder out, but once I knew what was wrong it wasnt so scary :sweating:

is it just me or does anyone else do this.i phone the docs feeling really ill and at deaths door then once i get in there i dont feel so bad? :blink:

Its definately not just you, Im the same at the doctors and the dentists !!! By the time the nurse saw me yesterday my throat was at its least swollen it had been all day :blink: , yet when i got hom it was really bad about an hour later ! Penicillin is really working now, and my throat is feeling loads better :thumbsup:
