Hi,

I´m very interesting in your´s k9 Chat script. It is great and I think even very fast.

Can you tell me how many Server ressources it needs for each user and tell me, where I can download exactly this hack?

The chat script is a hack of PhpMyChat - both this and Ikonboard were hacked by myself to enable both to use the same registration database.

PhpMyChat uses PHP & MySql, I don't think there have even been significant numbers of people using the chat at once but we haven't crashed it yet and the ISP hasn't complained ;)

I'll email the modified Ikonboard .cgi's and chat script to you. Unfortunately the hacks are almost completely undocumented - so unless you're familiar with Perl, PHP, DBI and MySql you'll probably have a bit of work to do to replicate the mods.

thanks a lot!

I´m ot that with Perl, PHP, DBI and MySql, but I know some who are ;)

Hey Nigel would you believe  that 4 people were in the chat room tonight, it was dead good

Could this be a record? Glad people are finding it useful.

Now racing and showing seem to be getting back to something like normal following FMD people might have a lillte more to talk about. :)

nigel, does you're chat room user flasher not work anymore

I was also wondering the same as Michelle?

Mine hasn't flashed for months and i'm always on k9 at peak times surely i'm not just missing everyone!!!!!

I was thinking the same thing only a couple of days ago.

I've had a look and it seems that the mods I did to make it work are not there... I guess they were missed in the transfer to the new server a while back.

The problem is that I cannot remember how I did it and the backups no longer go back that far. I am working on the new site and that code would need to be re-written anyway. So, I'm going to have to leave it at the moment until the new site is going.
