On veterinary advice, I had my lovely blue dog Kes (Rystone Kestrel at Sharmus) put to sleep last night.

He hadn't been himself for a few weeks and I was absolutely devastated to learn that in my vets opinion, he probably had a brain tumour so in order to save him any suffering in the future, I made the awful decision to let him go.

Woody & Hubs are missing him dreadfully but not as much as I am.

Gill

So sorry to hear your sad news.

RIP Kes. :huggles:

My thoughts are with you Gill - a horrible decision to have to make but to be able to make the end kind and free from suffering is a gift that is thankfully ours to give to our dogs :huggles: for you coz i'm guessing you need one

Oh dear I am so, so sorry Gill :(

Kes was such a handsome chap and I had some lovely kisses from him at the Hound Show this year :huggles:

Im so sorry

What a dreadful decision to have to make

You did the right thing by him it would have been worse to see him a shadow of his normal self

RIP Kes :(

:( So very sorry to hear that Kes has had to be put to sleep Gill, but you obviously made the right decision for him, although it must be really hard on you.

Thinking of you at this time.

So Sorry to read this. :(

RIP Kes

Oh Gill :(

I am so sorry that you have lost Kes- it's so shocking as he looked so well the last time I saw him. :(

Just goes to show that you never know when the time will come. I am going to give my oldies extra special hugs tonight :huggles:

Thinking of you and your other boys.
