Oh what a pretty little girl! :*

Well done with the photo shoot!

Hello Bardmand,

Who is she? How is she bred?

She's looking nice

Thats a pretty whippet. :))   What is the breeding? :))
Guille says to thank you, she thinks so too ;)

About her breeding, this is from another thread:

She is from Hjortronblomma, sired by Carry On Pastrami (who some might know as the sire of Adagio Love Supreme) out of Hjortronblommas Gin Kelly.
Pictures and pedigree are on the breeders' website. Here is a link to the puppies' page in case your Swedish is not that good  ;) BTW, Birkonbrae True E'Nuff and B. Sweet Talking Guy are full brothers.

Thank you all for the nice comments. I have not had the chance to reply, as we have been away for a few days to Gullet's first show! Well, actually, she is too young even for the baby puppy class, but we went along with some friends, for the socialization (for people and puppies alike).

The show was in a town close to were our family has our vacation home, so I invited some sighthound-friends to stay there. At most, we were five people, four borzoi and three whippets. I must admit I was a bit worried at first about letting Gullet play with the two boisterous 7-month old litter borzoi sisters, but they were really quite gentle with her. She also soon developed the skill to "freeze" if she felt they were playing a bit rough, and that would calm them down immediately.

At the show, Gullet shared a portable pet home with Mini, the calmest, gentlest whippet gentleman you could imagine. She slept through most of it, and otherwise did not seem to mind the busy atmosphere too much.

Here is a link to a page with some photos from the trip. I'm afraid it is only in Norwegian.

Loved the pictures - doesn't Gullet look tiny compared to those HUGE Borzoi!!!! (w00t)

I really love them - it was great to see a Borzoi competing in obedience - there is one that I know of who competes over here and she is wonderful - mind you, her owner obviously likes a challenge as she also competes with an Afghan!!! :) :) :)

Good luck when Gullet starts competing for real!   :luck:

 Gorgeous Borzois - love the pics in the snow.  Gullet looks adorable.

Ha! is that what Guille translates to ... Gullet? LOL I get it now!

NO, NO, Lana - We have been through this in another thread already; Gullet is the standard Norwegian spelling for "Guille" - so I changed it to avoid confusion:

Gullet/Guille

 sorry, must have missed that.

That is quite all right, Lana - I brought it all on myself. With the BARF craze going on, someone naming their dogs after internal organs might not be that unlikely anyway  :D

Well, having managed to get Gullet to pose for a couple of seconds, I decided to start practicing moving.

Gullet certainly seemed to enjoy it...

Almost there (well, in the puppy's case, not the photographer's)

To be continued...

Well, last week-end, it was time to see whether any of the show training had paid off. Gullet entered her first show at Skeppsvik outside of Umeå in Sweden. Unfortunately, not many pics were taken, and some were lost due to technical problems, but this is a half-decent one of Gullet being stacked by a more experienced handler than myself (sorry that I chopped your head off in the photo...)Gullet proved quite a challenge even to him...

She behaved quite well in the ring, but was generally quite frustrated that she was not allowed to play with all the wonderful hounds at the show. Gullet entered the baby puppy class (4-6 mnths), together with three of her litter brothers and her sister, and ended up BOS baby. :D

BOB baby was her brother "Tiger" - Hjortronblommas Just a Gigolo. :D

It was so much fun meeting all Gullets relatives and brothers and sisters again, and of course, her wonderful breeders. Obviously, the puppies have all changed a lot since last time I saw them, but it was interesting to note that some things have not changed. Gullet was always the nosy one, and whilst they are all outgoing, she is almost overwhelmingly so at the moment.

Oops - edited to add photo.

Thank you, Malin! This weekend she will be up against Paulus... We look forward to seeing him again, and will try to get some pics from his debut in the show ring.
