LAMPY

Great news Lampy, it's a shame my home brews not ready yet. :p

see you Saturday lampy

Do we all need to wear lampy wear? SHORTS lol

Thats great news Lampy :D you just couldn't bare the thought of us Spryers getting in on something without you could you :- "

Will you be running any of the lampy gang or is the fact that Spry will be running frightening you a bit :sweating:

Dont worry you might be in a different weight group :p

Listen Spryers (w00t) Henrietta and Zorro are ready for action n/e24 and n/e 26 what group is that Spry in? :teehee: . I'll bring you some wine and toast the parkstoners as well I hope. Bit cold for shorts now Mark  . It will have to be my moleskin breeks methinks. Just need 30 acres of stubble and a few hares :D to complete the ensemble.

If anyone can tell me whereabouts in Moreton the venue is I will be obliged. thanks

A good weekend beckons!!

LAMPINGMAN

depending what time you get there Saturday we could always go for a walk around the local countryside as its a lovely area with PLENTY of wildlife. ;)

The Sports Groung, Batsford Road, Moreton-in-Marsh

Take the A429 Stow Road (Fosseway) from the south or the A44 Bourton Road from the east. Both roads converge in the centre of the town. Continue northwards on the A429 through the High Street and immediately before the railway overbridge as the road bends to the right (The Rd's opposite the Supermarket) and turn left into Batsford Road. On the left is Queen Victoria's Garden and the road continues on to the Cricket Ground which is part of the Sports Ground complex. .

hope that helps

Forgot to say I dont drink Wine but there will be plenty of beer on the go?

Good luck Chris, Diane Henrietta & Zorro, hope all racers have a lovely weekend.

Oh well. It would seem that the gods have conspired against us. I have just had a call from June Simmons who tells me that Zorro will not be able to run on Sunday. 2 weeks ago he was disqualified at Maidstone. He requalified last Sunday at Harvel but because Harvel is a curve and not a bend, it doesn't count. Why I ask is it allowed to QUALIFY for bend racing on the Harvel curve and get your passport signed but not allowed to requalify??? There is a serious lack of consistency here. As an example. I can qualify my dogs for BEND racing using the Harvel curve but if I go to another track which has a bend and we get disqualified then the Harvel curve which was alright to qualify on is now not alright to requalify on. Am I ****ing stupid or are they??

Anyway . Have a good day everyone . We will try next year. Jobsworths permitting that is.

I don't know the technicalities of racing  but what a bugger

Hi Lesley. We will be there. Henrietta will run and I just might be able to introduce myself to someone from WCRA. Should be fun.

So if thats the case then any dogs that have been passed on a curve and not a bend can't run at the Champs then  is that what it is? were you passed for bend racing the first time on a curve Chris, if thats the case it would figure that you would be able to do that again wouldn't it?

So why prove on a curve? everything is run on a bend or a straight isnt it, I'm gutted that this has happened but I'm glad you're still coming :D

Oh no not another new lense, Andy's still talking about you're other one I said "NO, your not 40 this year" and bought him a Tom Tom sat nav instead, so if we don't get to the Champs there's definatley something wrong somewhere

Umm thats an interesting 1 Lampy, i'd be tempted to ring The WCRA Secretary and ask his advice as Harvel is not the only club that clears dogs for bend racing on a curve and if what June says is correct then it may effect more dogs.

I talked to a WCRA member a while ago and they said there was no problem with dogs clearing on a curve or a greyhound track.

Give Paul a ring just clarify things.

Just an after thought Lampy,?

your not useing this as an excuse to get out of compeating against us are you lampy cos i'll check up!(COME ON THE TRUTH)

Fynn cleared for bend racing on a curve.............I would imagine this point needs clarifying very quickly..........Like today! :- "

We aren't running, but I bet quite a lot of dogs who are may have officially cleared on curves even if they have since been running on bends for a substantial time

You're right Joanna there are going to be a few dissapointed people tomorrow if thats the case, thank goodness Spry was cleared on a bend :sweating:

Paul Chappell is no longer secretary of the WCRA I believe that it is Sarah Eaton.

Also I read Lampy's post as saying that the dogs can't be re-cleared on a curve but can be initially cleared to bend race on a curve. So the dogs are okay to race as long as they haven't been disqualified. Which as he points out seems inconsistent IMO.

So this isn't going to affect ANY of the dogs that cleared on a curve, like yours Joanna, as long as they don't then get disqualified on a bend and have been re-cleared on a curve so you don't need to worry about the validity of Fynn's clearing. Hopefully there aren't any others that it does applies to.

However I'm sure that any clubs that only run curves (I think that it's only Harvel but am not sure) will want the rule clarified for the future.

If I was you Chris i'd get in contact with Sarah ASAP  ........A dog can be cleared for bend racing on a curve (though I must admit to clearing ALL of mine on the Indie bend :- " ) .....as its best to get as many different types of bends/curves into a younger dog to keep them thinking in my humble opinion of course :D .......If you have no joy i'll be bringing the Twit tomorrow as hes running the bend well and could do with a blow out befor the Sporting (if I go there) so you can put Zorro in a trial with him  ......See you tomorrow Hannah :)
