Paul Chappell is no longer secretary of the WCRA I believe that it is Sarah Eaton
Talking with Paul he assurse me that HE is still the WCRA Secretary but he's lightening his load (so to speak)

Thankfully Common sense prevails and Lampy rane his dog.

Sure he wasn't pulling your leg ?? .......

That would be a bit unproffessional, how are people like us who are just starting with all this supposed to know who's who

Well Zorro was allowed to run and he did very well so well done Zorro.

Really pleased that Zorro got to run. It seemed a very odd decision originally, and yes, common sense came through in the end. As for Paul Chappell, well perhaps some-one who knows the answer to the secratary question could enlighten. I must admit, I thought he was still in position but Sara Eaton was taking over the entries for the last Champs. Perhaps you have to wait until an AGM before the official introduction of a new sec, with nominating seconding and voting on? I can't imagine why Paul would tell Mark a lie, no reason to as far as I can see.

Paul is still secretary, 'till next year anyway. Sarah is just taking the entries.

Surely the WCRA will send out a letter to all clubs if anything like secretary, racing manager etc changes.

I think they are obliged to keep affiliated clubs informed Paula. I am willing to be corrected, but I think as in any organisation the commitee members have to be proposed, seconded and then voted into position. I am presuming that the AGM is open to all clubs to attend and presumably the proceedings are minuted and available for scrutiny as racing clubs pay a subscription.

I am sure Judy (the knowledge font) will happily enlighten us 8)

Actually Judy, if you are reading this, I had a little blonde moment and accidently deleted my copy of the WCRA rules  ......pretty please can you e-mail me a copy ;)
