Its because of the weather we've had .....KC thrives when its mildish and the weathers wet ..... our English weather is perfect for it nowadays ...

just to confirm that i had been in contact with those at Southwest lure coursing event as soon as i found out about the KC this morning to discuss withdrawing my dogs from the event.
It is evident to all, if the Lancashire results for Sunday are viewed, that the Winterfells are the dogs that ran with the suspected KC case and had entered the Southwest event this weekend.

I am a responsible dog owner/lover and we will not be attending this weekend.

We may however, providing my dogs continue to show no signs of KC, enter events following the incubation period.

Hopefully this will stop the further spread

when you say you've had a hard life is that all your life as in working in kennels or just part

Due to a member who raced with us Sunday reporting that 1 of her dogs has been diagnosed with Kennel Cough the clubs last meeting of the year this Sunday has been cancelled as have training sessions till at least the end of November as a precaution.

Hi Mark sorry to hear about KC in your area.

We are all not very lucky with KC this year - I wonder if this is a worthy item for the talk-in ?

How can we stop KC for getting into the Racing Whippets in the future?

Hi Rob,

I don't think you can stop it getting in to racing you can only take steps to try and keep cases as low as possible once it's reported.
