My pc is getting slower by the second, think it is getting a bit old :(

I'd like a lap top so I can go on K9 in the garden when the weather is nice :luck: and so I can use it downstairs when everyone is asleep -_- but I don't know anything about them

Anyone got any recommendations or advice? :)

Thanks :D

Ive got an Acer 17" Aspire series. 80GB HDD wireless and I love it Alyson...best thing I ever did.

I got mine from PC World and also took out the extra insurance for about £5.00 per month ...free updates and healthchecks whenever there is a problem. I also purchased as extra, Microsoft Office suite and Norton Antivirus Protection.

You could always check some of the models out online before you go to the shops ...its usually down to personal taste on the model, looks etc.. ;) and of course what you would personally like the laptop to do for you.... hard drive, memory etc. The assistants are very good and will discuss exactly what you would expect fom your laptop. :)

I've got an Advent 7088 512MB 60 gig, got it a year last Feb and had no bother with it.

I got it from PC World just told the lady in the shop what I do with it, Surf the net, do course work, ect ect and she helped me choose the right one, if you tell them what you want to do with it they are usually pretty good, I got both the PC's I've had from there too, one is really old (son has it)and the other is a few years old and I've never had anything go wrong with either of them(touch wood)

Most laptops are wireless enabled these days but you will probably have to buy a router seperatley that plugs into you internet modem, I was advised wireless G is the best so thats what I got its been good for me :D
