Today at the Easter Festival Kennel Club Championship Show, held at KCC Park Berinswift Ivory Pearl (Ivory) was awarded her last Bitch Challenge she needed making it possible for me to submit an application for her to be recognised as an Australian Champion.

Ivory is only 18 months old and just moved into the Intermediate class. Her presence in the household and kennel is felt by humans and canines. Her relaxed attitute amongst her human friends and her teasing and playful manner amongst her immediate family has shown me that her tempament is what I want in a Berinswift champion.

I am not just pleased with, but boastful of, her wins and look forward to showing her in the years to come.

Thank you Seaspot Run for your congratulations, and yes a bottle of champagne was opened (and finished) for the occasion.

I am also enjoying the topic on the comparison of breed standards for British and American whippets. Personally, I prefer the English 'type' and am trying to get the size back to what was commonly referred to in Australia as a 'true English whippet type' some 20 years ago.
