Dessie Macken asked me to put his next show up on K9, it's on SATURDAY 18th JULY the money will go to Terry Turkington who is going to Africa to do charity work..good on you Terry

the schedule is as follows:

Simulated coursing to start at 12.00 pm

Showing at 2.00pm with straight racing to follow..

Some great Trophies on offer..

He hopes to get the same field he had for his last show held back in April, Scarva Road, Banbridge...

The last show had a great turnout and it was a scorcher 8)

Dessie has arranged for two English Judges to come over for the show...

Lurcher Judge: Joe Harris

Terrier Judge: Mick Mills

There is no Strong Dogs at this show

Looking forward to it, will be there with ace and the beautiful Lady Victoria ;) God bless

Dessie also asked me to add that there will be both show classes and racing for pure whippets at this show ;)

Holy Crap why cant these shows start at a sensible time i.e 9am like they do in the rest of the UK ?!!

SO i take it that the straight racing will begin around 7pm, i wasnt at the last event as i was in Wales but when id driven for 2 hours after a full lurcher & terrier show and spent time having my tea...i decided to fone across to see how some of my mates were doing only to discover that at 6.15pm the racing hadnt even started ! Thats just ridiculous !! Charity or not !

Why are the starting times down for soooo bloody late then in actual fact they dont even get under way for around another hour afterwards !! If i can get to the south of england for a race meet to start at 9am i just cant see why anyone who lives maximum 20 miles radius cant get to a show ontime over here.

If got a vet appointment this morning that will decide if i race or not, and if i do itll be Sim Coursing only as ive got Saturday Nights .. ermmm... socialising to do ! Bring your pyjamas guys

well done and thanks to dessie for putting on showing and racing for the whippets due to holiday plans we wont be able to attend and reguardid what stormy says there seems to be a wee trend that eveyone follows 12 start the last show at lawerancetown went on but this time it maybe a lot quicker with on strong dogs competing .Wishing eveyone the best of luck
