Hello everyone
I thought I'd do a little update on Buckley. First of all, he's an absolute joy (he's also a little bugger with shark teeth
)
He's 16 weeks old today. I haven't been able to go to the puppy training that I asked about but I'm watching and learning from kikopup on YouTube and I also got a copy of easy peasy puppy squeezy which seems very good. When I got him he was on Royal Canin small breed puppy food which I slowly changed over to Lily's kitchen (my old girl is on Lily's so I thought it would be good to get them on the same brand) Although he was gaining weight, active, glossy coat and apparently happy, his poo was consistently soft and not formed
The vet gave him pro kolin which did nothing to help and I was getting a bit worried about the amount of times he was having a poo. Anyway, to try and not ramble, I found a raw food supplier only a few miles from me, I don't have the freezer space to store bulk so it means I can pop in and get a few packs at a time. The lady recommended swapping him immediately rather than slowly introducing which I did on Thursday afternoon. On Thursday evening he had a solid, well formed poo (I'm sorry I'm saying poo way too much!) Yesterday he had 3 poos, all brilliant and today he's had 2 so far. I could cry with relief!
His big sister, Angel, is 12 years old and he seems to have given her a new lease of life
They play, explore the garden, do their neighbourhood watch duties and snuggle together. My heart is happy
Hopefully I've managed to add some photos. Please excuse his pink jumper, I had to bathe him as his leg cocking experiments had caused a whiff and he seemed chilly and it's the only jumper I had to fit him.
