Some years ago, I bought a gorgeous small statue of Whippet. It was built by « Beswick ».

I was very proud because it was really very nice and it was very rare to find such a beauty in my country in France.

Unfortunately, this little statue was broken. :( I am very very very sad !

Please, can somebody tell me where I could buy the same one ?

I called it "little Connor" because it looked like the father of two of my Whippets : Courthill Crimson Pirate.

Here is the picture :

Thank you very much !

Hi,these lovely statues can often be found on ebay

:) Have you had a look on e-bay?, I have seen something like yours on there.

Hello Alfyn and Littlenell.

Thank you for your answers. :)

Yes, these statues are really lovely !

I bought on E-bay the one that is broken but since I bought it, I never saw any new ad.

I will be patient

I have the self same ornament ...bought a long time ago now I was in my teens.

The only trouble is Beswick dont actually make it anymore....as Beswick was taken over by Royal Daulton.. so anything Beswick is pre the take over by Royal Daulton if you see what I mean...

I think your best bet is Ebay, or to keep checking sites out on the internet. Im sure I saw it somewhere second hand for sale....if I see it again I will email you or send a pm.

The dog this was modeld on was Ch Robmaywin Stargazer of Allways :)) who appears in many pedigrees of todays whipps especially any with Shalfleet or Walkabout

I understood it was Ch. Wingedfoot Marksman of Always , but may well have got that wrong

I had been looking for one of these on ebay all last year and only saw 2 that were in perfect condition.

I was lucky to recieve this whippet off my OH for Christmas, it was a lovely suprise :)

Yes-Beswick is quite pricey/collectable now since the take over....

I've got lots of Beswick Beatrix Potter figures and farm animals....no whippet though :(

Someone bought us a whippet made from coal this year!

I was quite a Beswick fan....I have Red Rum on a wooden plinth, this whippet statue, a lovely Stag the siize of Red rum, a dutch rabbit and babies, several small foals too ...thats what I can remember for now...

Julie....well done on receiving your lovely whippet.... mines about 25 years old now or more... (w00t)

We have got one of each and apparently the one with the tail between the legs is not as valuable as the other, doesnt make sense if this is true.

its true but other way round one with tail between legs is more valuble, think its cos these are harder to find in perfect condition and is the original

Thank you very much T Hoare and Flowerpot :))

I hope, I can find soon such a nice ornament because I am very sad...

Thanks to all !
