hiya fast dogs :D chubby Eskil is looking for his sleeker relatives.

I know that some of the dogs bred by his breeder (Louise Tuhill) have raced (as well as one fawn girl being picked for racing of his litter), so I was googling some of the dogs from his pedigree and found that our auntie has been raced.

Her pedigree name is Born To Be Wild (Kaymark Willie Wonker at Redbar X Wilhelminas Jealousy), racing name Elegant Belle, owned I think by Mike Head (found this info on some Pedigree Whippet Racing Owners Directory 2008).

I only know the pedigree names, so I was wondering if anyone knows of whippets from these matings

Airescot Ruby Rascal X Funk Soul Sister (born 2008)

Kaymark Willie Wonker at Redbar X Wilhelminas Jealousy

Twilight Madness X Contessa Chloe

Molvine Prince Leopold X Callme Crystal Tips

Hiya Mike Head race's Ellegent Belle at Harvel in Kent, we will be going along to race hopefully this weekend, so if you want to put your namer and email address across to me I will forward it for you.

wow, closer than I thought! I'll PM you my details :)

Those look to be show lines - have you tried cross posting your question in the Show Whippets section of K9?

hi, we know our show relatives, it's just I knew some dogs from Eskil's dam's side have been raced, so got curious. when I was looking through the directory I noticed some other Kaymark dogs as well.

Hi - I'm the owner of Elegant Belle -good to hear of your interest.

She is a lovely blue brindle, good natured and affectionate. She runs regularly at Harvel and Maidstone -loves racing etc. Sadly she does not have miles per hour in her tank, and her enthusiasm is not matched by racing results. Nevertheless she is betrothed to WRC Mr Millichip and whatever arrives from this mating might be a bit faster.

Hope this helps.

Mike Head

Sounds like a good plan Mike. It sometimes takes 2 or 3 generations of mating to a race bred dog but you often seem to get a really good one in the end that way.

Airescot Ruby Rascal is a show champion from Sweden, is well known. Some of the Mossbawnhill (N Ireland) whippets have him in their pedigree via Collooney Mama Mia, Kaymark is also known as a show kennel. I think the whippetarchives website is functioning again and you might find some relevant pedigrees for the other dogs you mention; that might help you to find more people who have cousins (etc) of your dog.
