I am looking for a whippett puppy - due in the next few weeks. I have been in contact with the Whippett Club. Does anyone know of anyone with pups due soon? We live in the Midlands area. Thanks ever so.

Hiya, welcome to K9.

We had a similar request a couple of weeks ago so hopefully I can sum up what people said then. It is against forum rules for people to advertise pups on here, though people may pm (private message) you if they have information. However, most breeders on here will already have waiting lists before the litter is due as they won't breed unless they have good homes waiting. The other thing is, you are probably lovely and may already have experience of whippets, but we don't know that! So most breeders would wait til you've been posting a while and done some research so they can sort of 'vet' you before they would let you have a pup. There are sometimes adult dogs available through no fault of their own ie people's circumstances changing - check the rehoming section on here and other dog rescue pages regularly. As you may know, whippets have many some fantastic traits but also some that can be hard to live with if you've had other dogs so make sure you are aware of these. :)

Breeders with recently registered litters are listed on the Kennel Club website or you could ask your vet if they know of any.

Good luck with your search - whippets are special dogs!

I dont know what you wish to do with it, ie show race or just for a pet.

But there are a few litters and litters due on the Pedigree racing forum :luck:

Thanks for the information. I have had two whippets both dogs from the same litter and we lost the second one a few weeks ago. Def want a whippet- no other dog will do and would rather have a puppy as want to train it myself. Also have two children and it will be nice for them to see the puppy from the begining. Will look at the places suggested and thanks to the other people who have emailed me with breeders to try. Our puppy is out there waiting somewhere.

Dog is for a pet - not for showing or racing.

Thank you so much for the help - havent found our puppy yet but have lots of contacts now. What a friendly helpful website.
