On the spur of the moment today we decided to say sod the dusting & odd jobs & head for the hills with the dogs

Lyme Park (where they filmed some of Pride & Prejudice a few years ago) is about half an hour away so off we went.

It was such a lovely day, blue sky etc, the dogs had a great time, there are wooded parts with lots of interesting smells for dogs :- " & there are big open spaces where they can run & run :D

Scrumpy

Hebe does this wierd thing whenever we find a steep slope, she slide down it on her side then gets up & runs back to the top & slides again

We can just say "Hebe Sliiiiiiiide" & off she goes. When we go to Cornwall there is a hill full of wild thyme & she smells lovely after a few trips down there, much nicer than the usual things she rolls on :x

This bench has been carved out of a tree trunk, not sure if they are dogs or deer but I wouldn't mind one in the garden :)

Having Fun.............even Rafferty joined in for a change

Looks like you all had a great time! Love the bench. Must look out for it next time I'm at Lyme Park.

Great pictures  and love the bench.

It was lovely yesterday wasn't it Julie? I nearly went to Lyme park with the boys but changed my mind and did a walk locally instead (see photos on Chit Chat). What a shame.....we could have bumped into each other. I like the photo of Hebe doing the slide. :D

Lyme Park is just the best place isn't it? Funnily enough I've posted a photo of the very same bench before...... I thought it was a hound chasing deer as there is quite a strong hunting theme, due to the history of the park, but I'm not so sure it isn't just deer either:p

Did you see any deer? It's that time of year that the stags start rutting I think, although judging by this photo it may be a bit later in the year as the trees are bare (is autumn late this year ? )

Gillian...the bench is below this house...

We must all meet up again, Lyme Park would be ideal. Here's one of my favourite photos of Muffin, from when Gillian and I last met up earlier this year..

Sorry Julie...I'm stealing your thread....I just can't help myself as I love Lyme Park. Hope you don't mind.

It's nice to see your pictures too Nicola. No we didn't see any deer but we heard them I think. Every now & then there was a loud roaring sound which I think was them, the dogs were quite interested in whatever they were saying :D

I took a photo of the same house, do you know what it is? On our way up the doors were open & there were lots of people milling around but coming back down it was all shut up.

I think we should all meet up there one day, hopefully not as wet as last time though (w00t)

What lovely pictures Nicola too , especially the stags .... Great. Lovely scenery.

great photos, nice to see Raffy joining in, love the one of all of them together and isn't Hebe funny, just like a little child, sliding :D
