Lucky, Red Fell Terrier, DOB 23.07.07 – Reigate, Surrey

Homing Requirements: Lucky needs a terrier family sensitive to Lucky's need for space and to reading his body language: On the whole, very approachable, tactile and enjoys being fussed but body will tense when overwhelmed, tenses and he needs to be left or he can nip. Being a 'teddy bear' awareness in public for people not to pet or crowd him. Only pet status and not for a home with children. Needs retention on an extender lead and is easily distracted. Exit management and secure garden as for all terriers.
His Story: Lucky came out of his home living with teenagers on his 5th birthday as he had nipped the mother in law this time drawing blood. Lucky was saved by the vet who saw no 'edge' and approached us via a local rescue to save him. Despite a busy 4 days out and about we saw no edge to his character until a stranger outstretched her hand to stroke him without relaxing him first. Lucky gives clear body language but needs to be heeded. Neutered, vax'd and chipped. Lucky is fostered in Reigate, Surrey.
Advert: Lucky is a darling Terrier. He is a versatile lad but has a slightly nervous edge to him which is seen when he meets other dogs - he tends to shy away. He is loving and welcoming with respectful approaches. Isn't guardy in the home and delights in play with balls. He will need time to settle in a new environment. Lucky needs a quiet environment and enjoys his own company, so can be left. He remains behind a child gate if placed there and sleeps in the kitchen by himself happily.
Lucky is a 6 year old red wire coated Fell Terrier. He has a calm energy, adores company, loves his walks and settles when left. Lucky needs an aware Terrier home and will delight, providing his terrierness is respected and not too much is expected of him in terms of commands and socialisation. Lucky needs to become lucky!
