Ricky is a lot better this morning :D ,,he not hopping about like Skippy but is limping a bit. I have bone radial and putting it on his foot. I now think it's not broken but is a strain, (before John post's to say,,that's what he thought was wrong with him) . Yesterday Ricky was not happy and yes I was worried as he would not even look at the pup,but today I can't get him to slow down, playing non stop with pup :- " .

I am changing Riggs name :- " :( ,,that daft Ricky is answering to it too :( :( ,,Ricky answers to Ricky. Rick,,Rick's, Richard (w00t) (w00t) ,,and now answering to Riggs,,Rigg,,and Riggsy. I can's think of a new name for puppy, but when I do I will let you know :D .

I use Lamond Vet's in Livingston. I try and only see Harry or Bill, I trust them better with the dog's and they listen to me, not like some who think they know my dog better than me. I sometime's think some vet's have never seen a whippet, (you not included Ilovekettlechips :huggles: . I have £50 put by for the jag's,,but I like them to make sure there is not heart murmer (sp) as BJ had one as a pup. My vet's are good with me, I can turn up at any time and they would see my dog's, with cash on me or not.

hes a smashing looking dog susan-and the jacket is lovely too! Dougie.

Thank's Dougie,,Ricky is a nice lad,,a bit thick but nice :- " . How is Lucy today,,any better yet. What is her problem/injury.

lucy is fine,i think the problem was with all the snow and frost the track has been quite heavy and she has not had much galloping or racing-so i think it just took it out of her a bit,she has had a couple of gallops and is ok-will be entering her to run on thursday and will put some work into her this week with the hope that the handicapper gives her a chance-then maybe we can win enough to pay for tank and innoculations!

thanks susan-i have seen the race and there are some good dogs in it-but we have started to up her work rate in the last week so are quite hopefull of a good run,but when we get back from crufts and cheltenham we will really get stuck in.

sadly no,she ran terrible ,as soon as the boxes opened i knew something was wrong-she was really slow away but got into 3rd place but faded badly and as she stays very strong we knew something was wrong,we had an idea she was not quite right after her last race but put it down to an off night-but we should have followed our instincts as she has a small tear in her monkey muscle its not the end of the world but she will be off the track for a good while, but she should come back none the worse after a good rest,we have been using an ice pack and infrared heat light on her as well as giving her traumeel tablets.

she is staying in a greyhound kennel with clyde until we get back from crufts/cheltenham and bonnie is staying with lizzies mum as she is too soft to go back into a kennel!

 Dougie
