Lump on the head - whippet

Hi

I have a 5 month old whippet with a jelly like lump on the top of his head between his ears.  The breeder told me it was common when they rough play with their pack, and the swelling will go down.  Apparently breeders of whippets call it a Policemens Helmet.  Has another else heard of this?

Hello. I’ve lived with 30 whippets over the years ( and also raised litters of puppies) and have never heard of this. I would have it checked out by your vet to be reassured that it’s nothing that needs attention

Never heard of it either. Vet check required I am afraid.

And nothing comes up if you Google it. At 5 months is he still with his litter anyway? Have you already bought him? Because those things raise a couple of red flags if you haven't got him already.
