Can I please check why the 100 Yard Dash is only open for Under 21's? This seems unfair to everyone that attends the shows with dogs over 21".

Also will there be any lurcher puppy racing this year?

Thanks

Urban Fox

Hi, The reason why we have introduced the 100 yard dash purely for the under 21's only is so that we are hopefully catering for every size of lurcher and 100 yard length is perfect for this size dog, plus this distance really would not be long enough for a bigger dog

It is not unfair at all the under 23' have their super league and the overs also have their super league.

I will double check on the puppy racing and let you know ASAP.

Clare.

I have a bitch who is 21.5" so she does not have much chance of winning in the Under 23" but she will not qualify for the Under 21" Dash so Lurcher World are still not catering for all sizes of lurchers.

The Under's and Over's may have a super league but as you have stated that the 100 Yard Dash is not a League, personally I dont see why it cant be open to any size dog?

If there is no puppy racing will we be able to enter our dogs into chase the bunny as they have not raced before?

Urban Fox
Hello again,

I do understand how you feel but theirs got to be a cut off point somewhere, i have a bitch whos smaller than yours and she finshed 10th in the under 23's super league and so qualified for the finals.

I will let you know about the puppy racing.

yes of course you can enter your puppies in chase the bunny  that would proberly be a good idea if they have not raced before.

Clare

I'ts been confirmed now and yes there will be Lurcher puppy racing

Clare :)
