SPWRC PROUDLY PRESENTS

IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE UK WORKING WHIPPET CLUB

SCOTLANDS FIRST PEDIGREE WHIPPET LURE COURSING EVENT



A 32 dog stake pedigree whippet lure coursing meeting to be held on Sat 21st Feb 2009 at Stirling Rugby Club Stirling open to all KC registered whippets(no height or weight limits)

The course will be run over a minimum of 800 yards with 7 turns on a take up system

All runs will be in pairs from the slips

Registration between 8.30 and 9.00 First dogs in the slips 9.30 PROMPT.

JUDGE MR GRAEME THOMPSON (Respected slipper and Judge)

Entry fee £10 per dog to be submitted to the club secretary with a copy of your pedigree no later than the 14th Feb

A maximum of 2 dogs per owner only please.

Each dog will have a minimum of 2 runs

Trophys will be awarded to the winner and runner up of the main stake and the cons stake.

There will be a raffle running on the day (all donations gratefully received)

The rugby club facilities will be open and food will be available all day.

The draw will take place on Weds 18th Feb.

Admission free. All spectators welcome. All dogs must be on a lead at all times.

Racecards £1 each (free to competitors)

ALL DOG MESS MUST BE REMOVED BY THE OWNERS PLEASE (We would like to be asked back!!)

Camping is available at the rugby club £10 per night toilets and showers available.

UPDATE

Ok Folks just to keep you updated the S.P.W.R.C. had a meeting today

Firstly We would like to thank everyone for their support

Weve had some very kind donations from k9 members who unfortunately cant be with us on the day so we have decided to support a charity

After discussing with fellow members we have decided to give all proceeds from the raffle and the race cards to Macmillian Nurses

As our slipper Mr Aaron Atmore has supported this cause over the last year

Any donations to the raffle would be greatly appreciated

We have also received some very kind sponsorship for the trophys and as a prize fund for the winners. Thank you

Aww would have liked to bring the girls but Ruby's just in season so she'll not be back to fitness to run by then and Luna is an un-trialled thug :- and she couldn't be trusted not to try and take out the opposition (w00t) . Maybe next time, I wish you all the best with this I hope it's a great success.
