hi, im a newbie to all this but thought i would give it a go. im 26 from fife and own a deerhound cross, was just wondering if there was any events in scotland i could take him ie. lure coursing.

Hi, Im in Scotland too, I havent come across any lure coursing, but there are several whippet racing clubs that will let you run your dog :thumbsup:

Isnt he gorgeous. Yes we do race at Ochtertyre Road near Stirling, every Sunday afternoon. and you are welcome to bring him along to get a run, but might not have any other lurchers to run against.

thanx for all the nice compliments folks.

took him and his sis along to kirkcaldy wrc for a run but they just wouldnt go for the lure, i know a bunch of red and white tape on a rope isnt exactly what they chase after on those long walks but they normaly go after anythin that moves.

just have to make my own from a fishin rod and duracell bunny, now where did i put that sticky-back plastic :D
