Is anyone going to the lure coursing near Newbury tomorrow? Elizabeth is away, but she suggested I took Gelert along. It looks like it is going to be pretty hot. 8) Is anyone put off by this?

Hi James, we're not going this time, but I think it will be OK of you take loads of water and shelter. As it's only two runs, I wouldn't worry. It's not as humid as it was last week. Have a great time if you go :luck: :cheers:

Thanks for the greetings - back from the coursing now. Decided to run him only once, as it was so hot, and I don't think he would do any better second time round, he was pretty het up by the end of his run. He scored 85.5 which was third in field at lunch time, no doubt someone will post the final scores.

I think little Dylan takes the prize for most sensible whippet of the day -_- :lol: Sounds like I missed a good day (but then anything would have been nicer than driving back on the A40 with a cracked thumb bone in the blazing sun :- " ) Well done Digger, and everyone else!

Well done everyone

I was really looking forward to going and my two were entered, but when I heard the weather forecast I decided to give it a miss especially with the ground so hard. Probably would have been okay but don't like pushing them in this heat.
