A freind of mine has just found a bloke in the UK to make pulleys the 1st batch should be ready soon.

as soon as he tells me they are done i'll get him to post details on here.

spoke to the bloke last night his 1st contact has let him down so hes asked another mate to have a look at making them for him.

I bought mine from Injoy, but when you add shipping on then VAT when they arrive over here it makes them expensive for what they are.

What about used ones? Do you have to pay VAT on used imported goods?

I asked him to post them as a gift as you dont pay VAT on presents but he wasnt up for it.

supermarket trolley wheels minus the rubber make superb pulleys :- "

mount them on a board with 4 holes 1 each corner to anchor it into the ground

I made some pulleys using the hub from a bicycle wheel, they work very well and the bolt through the middle should be the same size as a fishermans rod rest which you can cut down and use to stick into the ground. I will try to get some pics up of the ones I made.

As you can see, I mounted the hub on a metal plate but the rod rest idea works as well. A tennis ball mounted on the top makes it more visible and helps the lure operator judge the turns easier.

OK for those interested in rollers my mate brought a couple of his new rollers to the Northwest Lure Coursing club meeting tonight,

 

we gave them several goes and they worked perfect.

 

the tops are made of rubber and they only stand about 1" out of the ground so theres no chance of the dogs hitting them and getting injured.

 

if anyones interested PM me and i'll pass your details on (please state number required as well for a guide to howe many he needs to order)
