We brought our own food and had a great picnic/bar-b-que. It was very crowded there, but Mac is not worried about people so he came along. We had considered to leave him at a boarding kennel for the day, but felt sorry for him ;) He is a big part of our family (OH, Mac and myself....)

Lovely pics Mark, I thought some of them were mine, very similar!

Great pics Catherine, glad Mac enjoyed himself, there where loads of dogs there when we went on Saturday, loads of lurchers, terriers and quite a few spaniels.

Catherine Im so glad you got to Appleby, and didnt have to leave Mac behind - that great news. Looks like he had a brilliant time - and great pictures btw.

there was still some stragglers passing through our village today with their horse drawn vans - making the long journey home from Appleby.

Great pics and good to see the horses in good condition! We have a fairly similar fair over here in October called Ballinasloe, but unfortunately some of the horses have been in woeful condition, although last time I was there it was much improved :D

I am not too sure that there are many horses exchanging hands,as the prices are telephone numbers!!  I would imagine most people take home exactly what they brought. But the craic is fab

Those horses look lovely...the white on them is gleaming and they look in such good condition. Great photos
