MAGS

Meet the majestic Mags. She is an 8 year old ex-racing greyhound girl who is now finally ready for her forever retirement home. This lady has worked very hard during her racing life, with over 40 races and even a litter of puppies under her belt. Despite her long working life, Mags is still full of beans and shows no signs yet of slowing down! She has a beautiful fawn coat with liquid black amber eyes that seem to see into your very soul. This girl is hard to resist.

~ Personality ~

Mags really is a super little lady. She has been well cared for throughout her racing life, and it shows in her fab personality and high spirits. She has a great outlook on life, and upon meeting her you would never think she was 8 years old. Mags has the typical calm and mannerly personality of a greyhound and, like any self respecting older lady, must have her beauty sleep! She is extremely biddable and easy to keep content, and is one of those dogs that could slot smoothly into a suitable home as if she were always there. Mags absolutely adores people and relishes being in your company. She even knows a trick or two and will ‘shake hands’ if you ask her nicely! Its very hard to find a fault in this lady.

~ Other Animals ~

Mags is great with other dogs of all shapes and sizes, and doesn’t mind sharing her space with them. She still has the odd mad moment in the garden, but in general is content to let the younger dogs do the playing for her. Mags would be a fantastic companion for another older dog, but would likely do very well as an only dog too provided she isn’t left alone for long periods of time.

~ In the Home ~

Mags is living in a foster home now, and has lived in a home with her previous owners too. She is therefore well used to the household sights and sounds and has not had a single accident in the house to date. She is perfectly quiet and calm in the home and generally very content to snooze away in your company. All Mags needs is some food, a cosy bed and a daily walk and she is in her 7th heaven. This girl will give back tenfold what she receives, and somebody is going to be very lucky to have lady.

~ Out and About ~

Mags walks like a dream on the lead, so much so that a small child could walk her. She really does love her daily walks and is polite in meeting people and dogs of all shapes and sizes. Mags will not need a huge amount of exercise. She will be content with two 30min walks a day and perhaps a chance to stretch her legs offlead in a secure area once or twice a week.

~ Medical Issues ~

Mags has been checked over by our vet and has been given the all-clear, with no known medical issues to date.

~ Where Am I? ~

Mags is currently being fostered in Ireland, and will be transported via Kerry Greyhounds to the UK or Europe when a suitable foster or permanent home offer comes up. This will be organised and paid for by Kerry Greyhounds, and we ask only for a donation to help cover costs. Please note that adopters will need to travel to our nearest collection point to pick her up, and if you are in the UK and wish to meet before adopting her, she will be fostered in the Norfolk area.

~ Want To Adopt Me? ~

Mags is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, de-flea'd and wormed and a homecheck will be required as part of the adoption procedure.

If you are interested in adopting this beautiful lady, please email me (Tam) on tamakin_84@yahoo.co.uk for our adoption application form and information pack. Emails are usually replied to within 24hrs. Thanks!

~~ KERRY GREYHOUND CONNECTION ~~

Kerry Greyhound Connection is a small voluntary organisation that has bases in Co. Kerry, Ireland and Norfolk, England. It operates through a network of volunteers spaced over Ireland, the UK and mainland Europe. We can look after approximately 70 greyhounds at any one time, in Ireland and the UK.

Each dog is neutered, vaccinated and microchipped, and given a full veterinary check before being adopted.

We assess the suitability of all home offers, and we have homed greyhounds in Ireland, the UK, Central Europe and the USA.
