My boyfriend has booked a week away to Majorca for us next week and im really looking forward to it! just wondering if any of you have been before and what it will be like? Is there anything that i have definatley got to see whilst we are there and what will the weather be like

been to majorca a few times, but that was in the early & late 80's, had a great time and we went in october and it was still lovely weather,so i am sure the weather will be good for you next week :thumbsup: ,have a great time

I Love Majorca....it has everything on one island you could wish for....beautiful scenery, beaches, nightlife if you like it... :lol: :thumbsup: great food and drink...

quiet coves... its great for families and couples alike...

I hope you have a great time....whereabouts are you going.?

Ive been to Cala Bona, Sa Coma and Palma Nova. Palma airport is quite big too and great for duty frees.

You could visit the caves of Drach or the monastries in the hills.......or Inca Market..

Just beware of the 'Holiday Club' scams. Someone stops you in the street with scratchcards, and you 'win' a prize - a holiday. They take you to a presentation etc etc where you are persuaded to part with money to join a holiday club. We (very stupidly) got conned a few years ago and lost quite a lot of money.

Its terrible Sarah isnt it......we personally didnt come across that much in Majorca, but when we went to Tenerife it was rife there too.. :angry:

sorry you were conned out of your money.

meant to add beware of any street sellers/gypsies in Majorca too....I almost had my purse stolen. :rant: but these can be a threat in any country really.

Thanks for the replies everyone! im really excited. i will be sure to be aware of theives etc, just hope when i get back i wont be putting a post up bout being conned. Think it is Palma Nova we are going to. Have a nice time in Wales Hely, im sure it will be lovely!

Majorca is lovely I met my OH in Palma Nova in 1988 so Ithink its a great place for a holiday must go back soon

I love Palma, its quite a nice cosmopolitan little city with a great cathedral, marina/ harbour and some decent shops......

Often overlooked by holidaymakers :thumbsup:

Oh no not stray cats and dogs, ill be wanting to take all the dogs home lol! sounds great fun, im really looking forward to it! wat about the restaurants etc are they nice? and i know this sounds bad but do they have menus in english?
