Have just bought a new winter duvet for my bed, so thought the old one could be cut ito bits to make fillings for Alf's and Annie's bed. Bought some lovely fleece fabric to make smart covers for them too.

Got my sewing machine out and put the old duvet on the floor to cut into six pieces before sewing the raw edges.

Annie thought it looked just so comfy as it was, no need to put a posh cover on it she thinks. Hadn't the heart to disturb her so took her piccy instead.

I wouldnt disturb her either she looks really comfy. I"ve tried doing this with my whippets and old quilts but they just rip all the fluff out of it so by the next day you can imagine what the crate looks like. Gave up with this idea in the end, you must have a very well behaved whippet. o:)

I did that last year put a nice cover on with press studs at the end so I could take it off for washing, whips decided it was much better to push open the studs and get inside

She looks really comfy on there you could always use the material for a coat

Whippets are very good at lying on things that you want to be busy with. it's a nightmare changing the bed with them jumping on and off and lying on the duvet etc.

The same applies when wrapping presents - where is the cellotape, nail punctures in the paper etc

I should really shut the door :- "

Annie looks very comfy :huggles:
