reading THE DOG WORLD today and an announcement in it says , due to the high no. of entries a few breeds will start at 8.30 am ,, this includes whippets !!!!!!

According to ourdogs paper.

The entry is 242 from 32 whippets (somehow I think that should be 232 whippets making 242 entries).

At £19 per dog that is almost £4500 pounds that folk have paid out to take their dogs under this person.

I was only going to enter Rosie but wouldn't have been able to go anyway she's come in season today

must have been foresight when I didn't bother sending the entries off

As it is local to us and I finish work at dinnertime on Friday I may pop up in the afternoon

I cant believe we all pay so much to go to these Ch shows just so we can feed and entertain a lot of hangers on. We dont even get prize money anymore

we get a rosette at the open shows at £2 / £3 entries and £20 ch shows and you dont even get a pretty posette (w00t)

I cant remember EVER getting a rosette at Champ show s, Crufts now give rosettes for the first 3 placings instead of just the winner :cheers: , and when Libbee won her class at South Wales Champ she got a rosette for that , ( which really surprised me) At some show you used to get prize money (w00t) The Hound show( Champ) was one of them , but even they have stopped that :angry: and Now even at the OPEN show they didnt give out ANY rosettes for placing , how mean can they get , Not even first prize winners :rant: Hardley the way to encourage new comers is it :rant:

i agree , the price exibitors pay for enty , car park , catalogue etc and they cant even give the winners a rosette :rant:

not asking too much are we :blink:
