If you can remember he was going to be put to sleep(his breeder was going to consider putting to sleep) because of his paw (w00t) (w00t)

Its a very long story,but briefly.................. we wanted another Dachsie as at the time our other Dachsie was getting old(he was put to sleep last November age 15),so we seen this boy advertise and went to see him,we fell in love with him straight away!!Anyway i notice his paw was a bit funny,kept curling it in and it was slightly inlarged,then one day he could not move,so rush him in the vets,so anyway the vet advise to get back to the breeder as he though it was kinder to consider to put him to sleep as he will have problems etche contact the breeder himself and it went on like that so in the end we took him back to the breeder who then took him to her own vet and had xrays etc and was confirm he got a problem with his paw.The breeder then said she would understand if i would like another one from elsewhere,but we said we wanted Max and we will cope with the problem and then she gave me a full refund.I ask her what if we did'nt take him on,she reply she would have to put him to sleep as she would'nt have any used for him :rant: and nobody else will want him so thats the story behind Max.

They are ideal with whippets,even though they have sort legs they like to try and kewep up with the whippys,we had Dachsies for 15 yrs,they can be a bit yappy in the way of protecting our house :thumbsup:
